The Luminiferous Æther is an experimental feature film made from 2006-2009, beginning as thesis work for the MFA Photography, Video and Related Media program at the School of Visual Arts. It was featured in the 2011 Nouveau Festival at the Centre Pompidou in Paris.
Marie, a theoretical physicist, searches in island seclusion for an understanding of the universal unattainable. The natural world inexorably and wordlessly folds in around her even as she struggles to understand it through formal means.
